Frequently Asked Questions.

Everything you need to know about sponsorship, story nominations, and the Starter Input Pack.

General
What is Resilience?
Resilience is a platform by KOJEKON that documents extraordinary lives — from anywhere in the world — and uses those stories to fund and run youth-empowerment training programs in Nigeria. Every story we tell is tied to a real sponsorship goal.
How is Resilience funded?
Resilience is funded by individual sponsors who contribute toward training Nigerian youths, and by the families, friends and communities of the people whose stories we document. We also produce each story at our own cost as a gift to the public.
Sponsorship
What does my ₦75,000 sponsorship actually fund?
₦75,000 sponsors one youth through a full training cycle — currently rabbit farming, vegetable farming, business and stock investing training under the Buhari Empowerment Project — plus their Starter Input Pack on graduation. This covers training delivery, materials, and the physical starter inputs (seeds, weaners, or a starter kit) awarded at completion.
How do I sponsor a youth?
Visit the Sponsor a Youth page, choose how many youths you'd like to sponsor, and complete payment securely through Paystack. You'll receive a confirmation, and your sponsorship is reflected in the live counter on that project's page.
How do I know my money is used properly?
Every sponsorship is logged and counted live on the relevant project page, so the running total is always public. Funds go directly toward training delivery and starter inputs for the specific project you sponsored — we do not use sponsorship funds for unrelated purposes. As the program scales, we intend to publish more detailed impact reporting.
Applying for Sponsorship
How is a sponsored youth selected?
Applicants are reviewed against published eligibility criteria — Nigerian citizenship, age 18–35, current unemployment or underemployment, and genuine commitment to completing the training. Selection also depends on the number of sponsors available at the time. We aim to review applications within 14 days.
What happens after I apply for sponsorship?
Your application is reviewed within 14 days. If selected, you'll be matched with a sponsor and notified by email and phone with next steps, including access to the training portal. If you're not selected immediately, your application may be considered for a future cycle as more sponsors come on board.
When will the Starter Input Pack be distributed?
Starter Input Packs are awarded after you complete all training modules for your track. Distribution timing depends on program logistics — see the Starter Input Pack page for current status and what each pack includes.
Stories
How do I nominate someone's story?
Use the Submit a Story form to nominate anyone — living or deceased, from any country — whose life demonstrates extraordinary resilience, discipline, achievement or service. We look for stories that can inspire many people and ideally come with a family or community willing to collaborate.
Does Resilience only feature Nigerian stories?
No. Resilience documents extraordinary lives from anywhere in the world. Our youth-empowerment training programs currently operate in Nigeria, but the stories we tell are not limited by geography.
Payments & Security
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments are processed by Paystack, a licensed Nigerian payment processor. Resilience never receives or stores your card or bank details directly.
How can I contact Resilience?
Reach us anytime via the Contact page, by email at resilience@kojekon.com, or on WhatsApp.
